Humidity Indicator Humidity Indicator

The humidity card (or humidity display card, humidity indicator card, HIC) is a card used to display the humidity status of the sealed space. The percentage data above or to the side of the circle is the relative humidity data indicated by the corresponding circle.Humidity indicator card is a device on which a moisture-sensitive chemical is impregnated such that it will color change when the indicated relative humidity thresholds exceeded.

Product Description

Humidity indicator card (HIC) is a device on which a moisture-sensitive chemical is impregnated such that it will color change when the indicated relative humidity thresholds exceeded. This has usually been of two types,  a blotting paper impregnated with cobalt(II) chloride base and color change blue to pink when RH threshold exceeded; the other is cobalt-free chloride base and color change brown to blue when threshold exceeded.

The spots on the humidity indicator card change color to indicate the humidity in a given cargo or environment, allowing workers to monitor humidity at a glance and inspect cargo if humidity exceeds safe levels.

Humidity indicator is a cost-effective way to detect and indicate relative humidity levels. They are available in many configurations and used in many applications which sensitive in humidity conditions, especially food, chemicals, military, semiconductor, etc.

Features

  • Convenient to use;
  • Easy to observe;
  • Lead-free RoHS compliant;
  • High sensitivity;
  • Low-cost;
  • Quickly determine humidity (when indication point turns to be purple which is between blue and pink,
  • the number of indication point will be the environment humidity at present); effective moisture proof.

Instructions for use

1. When the humidity of the environment reaches or when the indicator point on the humidity indicator card shows a value, the indicator point will change from dry color to hygroscopic color.
2. When the humidity of the environment decreases, the color of the dots on the indicator card will change from hygroscopic color to dry color again.
3. When the color of the indicated point changes to the specified color, the value in the point is the humidity value of the current environment.
